Health and safety – inclement weather

Feb 2nd, 2009 | By Steve | Category: Health and safety

The bad weather always reminds me of a friend who had a bad accident some years ago, unfortunately he was one of the unfortunate ones that didn’t survive. But the main reason for this tragedy was that the guy needed to earn money, so he was out there working in poor conditions.

It makes me wonder how health and safety can allow guys in any trade to risk their lives just because they have bills to cover. Maybe its time for the government to issue self employed sub-contractors inclement weather payments.

Strange that the offices of this land have to be a certain temperature by law isn’t it!!

Ironically those in their safe warm offices are usually salaried.
